Take Professor Patty Cake's New Survey - Survey Link ! The Intellectual Downplaying Survey was created to collect data for a research study focused on the practice of intellectual downplaying. The author of this study, Dr. Erica Vernold Miller (Cazenovia College/Professor Patty Cake Consulting L.L.C.), has coined the term intellectual downplaying and has defined it as the practice of an individual acting as though he/she is less intelligent than he/she really is.
This study has been approved by the Cazenovia College Institutional Review Board (IRB). You are invited to participate in this study. Please note that this study is intended for those who are 18 years old or older. If you are not at least 18 years old, please DO NOT take this survey! The survey consists of approximately 20 questions and should take less than 15 minutes to complete. The survey is anonymous. No identifying demographic data will be collected to link your responses to you. Your participation in the study is completely voluntary. You will not face any penalty for choosing not to participate or receive any compensation if you choose to participate. Upon the completion of the study, the survey data will be analyzed for trends and the findings summarized by the author. Study analysis and summary may be used by the author for future professional presentations and/or writing projects.
